Computing
Information and Communication Technology is playing an increasingly important role in the children’s education. All boys have Computing lessons and from Year 3 the boys are taught by a specialist Computing teacher.
The Nursery Department has an interactive whiteboard and has recently acquired a very exciting Smart Table, which allows multi-touch learning activities for our youngest children.
In the Junior Department, there is a Computing Suite, fitted out with 22 computers, and most classrooms have Smart TVs, with the rest having Smartboards. We have also recently invested in a bank of iPads for use across the department. These are used to enhance the learning process and provide differentiated material for the pupils.
In the Senior Department, there are two computing suites. Computing lessons take place in the main suite and the second suite is used for Music, Design Technology and Art, as well as activities for other subjects. We have also recently invested in two banks of iPads, and these are used across the curriculum.
